It all started in the second grade when my teacher asked to see the notes I had taken that day during class. All she found in my notebook was a page filled with doodles of hawaiian flowers, my name sketched in different styles, and that weird "s" thing that all 8-year-olds seem to know how to tag.
Since then, with the support of my family and friends, I have been pursuing the seemingly impossible profession as a graphic artist. I graduated from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo in 2016, and earned a B.F.A. in Art & Design with a concentration in Graphic Design. Over the past couple years, I've migrated back up to San Francisco, where I'm currently working (and totally loving) the dreamy job of an associate art director at Adobe Inc.
There is nothing that gets me giddy quite like beautiful photos, vintage typography, and especially black and white line drawings. Whoever said "diamonds are a girl's best friend" clearly never experienced the feeling of a freshly opened micron pen on a sheet of sketch paper.
"What are you like outside of work?" you might ask. Well, if you enjoy being destroyed on game nights, can speak fluent sarcasm, appreciate the fine art of binge watching documentaries with a nice bottle of wine, and/or if donuts make you happy, then I am sure we will get along just fine.
